WCS Korea Offline Preliminaries
Stream:
Event:
- WCS Korea National Finals Offline Preliminaries
- Sunday July 22nd, Monday July 23rd, 11am-8pm KST (exact time subject to change)
- 16 players will advance to the National Finals which will be held over 3 weeks in August
- More information regarding the WCS Korea Nationals main event here
Broadcast:
- The event will be covered as part of the “Ready Action!” program
- Global broadcasts will be available via GOMTV.net
- Yearly ticket and monthly subscription ticket holders will have access to our HQ and SQ premium stream
- Free SQ stream will be available for all users
- HQ VODs will be uploaded to GOMTV's official YouTube Channel
Format:
- All matches are best of 3
- The format will be similar to the Code A Preliminaries
- More details to be announced later
Players:
- Brackets will be released as soon as available
Map pool:
- WCS_Daybreak, WCS_Ohana, WCS_Cloud Kingdom, WCS_Entombed Valley, WCS_Antiga Shipyard, WCS_Taldarim Altar, WCS_Shakuras Plateau
Official WCS map selection process:
- Player 1 and Player 2 are determined via coin flip
- P1 vetoes one of the 7 maps
- P2 vetoes one of the remaining 6 maps
- P1 vetoes one of the remaining 5 maps
- P2 vetoes one of the remaining 4 maps
- P1 selects the map for the first set among the 3 remaining maps
- P2 selects the map for the second set among the 2 remaining maps
- The last remaining map will be used for the third set, if needed
Seeded players:
- The Korean WCS National Finals will consist of 32 players, double elimination tournament format
- 10 players: Ranks 1-10 of the 2012 GSL Point Ranking (Including Season 3)
- 6 players: KeSPA recommended seeds (SK Planet SC2 Proleague Round 1 and 2 StarCraft II results Top 6)
- KeSPA seeds will be most likely announced on July 22nd
- 16 players will qualify via the WCS Offline Preliminaries
